The aim of CBT Hathi Therapies is to work with you to make positive change with the help of professional counselling psychotherapy services.

Owner and principle therapist, Helen Watson, is a Post Graduate Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and specialist in Psychological Trauma.
Helen is trained to EMDR level 3 and also draws on her training in a range of psychological approaches to provide an integrative and individualised approach to therapy. She has a background in nursing with over 25 years of experience in the field of mental health.
Helen helps her clients in therapy with a range of mental wellbeing issues, ranging through Stress & Adjustment, Anxiety Disorders, Depression and Post Traumatic Stress (with extensive experience helping those with combat related stress and accidents)
Helen is able to teach stress management and mindfulness, meditation and relaxation techniques.
Helen has training and experience as a Clinical Supervisor and has trained as a Supervisor in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre.
Helen is pleased to discuss workshops and training with employers and services offering support to others.
Helen's experience has included acute mental health services and more enduring mental health problems. She has also in the past volunteered her time to the CRUSE bereavement counselling organisation. However she has spent over 20 years working with service personnel and is a specialist in psychological trauma particularly accident and combat trauma. Helen continues to work with veterans and the emergency services.
Continuing development of therapy practice is considered paramount to ensuring she is current and practicing in accordance with professional guidelines. Helen arranges for her own professional supervision in order to maintain competency in specialist practice.
She is also involved in youth work and believes in promoting positive attitudes toward mental health from a young age.
Helen has a close working relationship with other colleagues in the field of mental health who may be able to offer alternative specialties. If for what ever reason she is unable to assist with your particular needs Helen is able to refer you to other appropriately qualified and highly recommended therapists.
