OK so we don't actually expect you to literally Stop, Drop and Roll! But the phrase might help you remember, when you're noticing you're becoming distressed, to be able to........ stop for a moment.... take a breath..... before reacting further. Even if you've already started to "react", regaining some composure can help you feel more in control, to be able to better assess what it is you're reacting to and to be in a better position to make the most helpful choice for you at that moment.
